We will explore a sequence created by one of BKS Iyengar’s students which combines strengthening, stretching and meditative poses to help firm the body and focus the mind. Jehangir Palkhivala named his practice The Mother Sequence in honor of the Mother of Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondicherry, India. He took great comfort from her, as did many, and felt this practice represented her intent to offer people a practice to help heal from a variety of ailments.

This sequence is a part of the annual 21-day yoga challenge which Ann provides in her new book, The 21-Day Challenge: Inspirations for a lifetime of good health. (Available at the workshop as well as on Amazon beginning late February 2019)
